Arlene Gonzalez/Founder, CEO Principal Consultant 

Arlene Gonzalez is the Founder, CEO, and Principal Consultant of Cornerstone HR Solutions, bringing more than 30 years of senior federal leadership experience in civil rights, workforce compliance, organizational strategy, workplace conflict resolution, and employment-related administrative systems.

Throughout her distinguished federal career, Arlene served in executive leadership roles across the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Labor, Department of Defense, and Department of Veterans Affairs. Her leadership experience includes serving as Director of Diversity and EEO for the U.S. Army/Pentagon, National Director of Military and Civilian EEO Programs for the U.S. Coast Guard, National Disability Program Manager for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), and National EEO Director for the Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.

Arlene has led large-scale organizational initiatives involving civil rights, workforce modernization, disability programs, ADR implementation, workplace training systems, and language-access policy development. Her work frequently required advising senior leadership on complex workforce and institutional matters while coordinating across large organizational systems.

Drawing upon decades of institutional experience, Arlene founded Cornerstone HR Solutions to help professionals better understand workplace dynamics, organizational processes, procedural systems, and employment-related environments. Her approach emphasizes organizational understanding, strategic preparation, professional communication, and composure during periods of workplace uncertainty.

Arlene holds a Master of Public Administration from Georgia Southern University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Saint Leo University, both earned cum laude. She also completed advanced executive leadership training through the Army Management Staff College, the Center for Creative Leadership, and the American Academy of Project Management.

The Board serves as an available resource for particularly complex workplace matters requiring additional strategic or technical perspective. Anaury Angeles

Advisory Board Member – Washington, D.C.
Federal EEO Policy & Conflict Resolution

Anaury Angeles serves on the Cornerstone HR Solutions Board of Technical Advisors, providing insight on federal administrative systems, workplace compliance, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy. Her background spans multiple federal agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the Indian Health Service, providing broad perspective across both regulatory and healthcare environments.

Her work has focused on program integrity, operational recovery, and the management of complex compliance matters within high-demand organizational settings. She brings practical knowledge in the application of federal workplace and civil rights protections, including disability accommodation processes, workplace equity considerations, and federal EEO compliance standards.

At the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Anaury led the recovery of a 9,500-case reasonable accommodation backlog through strategic workflow restructuring and operational process improvements. Her background also includes technical oversight within high-scrutiny programs, including the Office of Refugee Resettlement’s Unaccompanied Children Program, supporting compliance within sensitive operational environments.

Liana Caban, MSN, APRN, FNP

Advisory Board Member – Orlando, Florida
Medical Consultant & Clinical Crisis Management

Liana Caban serves on the Cornerstone HR Solutions Board of Technical Advisors, providing clinical insight on medical, workplace safety, and crisis-related matters. As a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she brings more than 20 years of experience in trauma, emergency medicine, cardiac care, and high-pressure clinical environments.

Her professional background includes frontline service during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she worked within complex care settings requiring careful attention to workplace safety, infection control, and institutional response. This work contributes to her practical understanding of medical risk, workplace stress, and emergency conditions within organizational environments.

Liana also serves as a Surgical First Assistant and currently focuses on geriatric and chronic-care management, working closely with patients, families, and hospice programs. Her clinical background provides valuable insight regarding medical documentation, workplace accommodations, leave-related considerations, and the needs of an aging workforce.

As Principal of LC Medical, she offers an independent clinical perspective focused on translating complex medical information into clear, practical guidance. Her experience as both a Pharmacy Nurse Consultant and Director of Nursing further supports her ability to assess medical and workplace matters with professionalism, accuracy, and compassion.


Diego Caban

Advisory Board Member – Orlando, Florida
Hospitality & Tourism Operations

Diego Caban serves on the Cornerstone HR Solutions Board of Technical Advisors, providing operational insight into the hospitality and tourism sectors. Based in Orlando, he brings experience from large-scale, high-volume environments requiring strong coordination, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication.

His professional background includes experience with organizations such as Walt Disney World Resort, Loews Hotels, and Carnival Cruise Lines, providing practical understanding of complex operational systems, diverse workforces, and guest-service environments.

Diego also contributes perspective in the area of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and evolving workplace systems. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts in Entertainment Management at the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management.

Wesley Jimenez

Advisory Board Member – New York, New York
Federal Logistics & Operational Safety

Wesley Jimenez serves on the Cornerstone HR Solutions Board of Technical Advisors, bringing more than 30 years of experience in federal postal operations, workforce safety, and operational preparedness. As a long-time Carrier with the United States Postal Service (USPS), he worked within high-volume operational environments requiring consistency, adaptability, and strong situational awareness.

His professional background also includes work with the Hispanic Society Museum & Library, where he operated within established protocols for the secure handling and transport of high-value assets. This experience contributed to his disciplined approach to operational reliability and workplace safety.

Throughout his federal career, Wesley was selected to train supervisors, carriers, and clerks in areas including workplace safety, operational preparedness, mechanical awareness, and professional conduct. He also brings firsthand experience navigating large-scale operational disruptions following September 11 and the 2001 anthrax incidents, contributing to his understanding of workforce preparedness, crisis response, and organizational continuity during periods of elevated risk.

Wesley additionally brings practical insight into federal workplace systems, workers’ compensation processes, disability accommodation considerations, and organizational safety standards developed throughout his federal service.

He holds an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and completed extensive federal training in ethics, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), workplace safety, de-escalation, and professional conduct.


Debra Martinez 

Advisory Board Member – Chicago, Illinois
Hospital Administration & Labor-Management Relations

Debra Martinez is a United States Navy veteran and management official within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), bringing more than 20 years of federal service experience to the Cornerstone HR Solutions Board of Technical Advisors. Her professional background includes VA healthcare administration, patient administration, operational support, billing systems, and healthcare-related administrative processes.

On the Board, Debra provides perspective on hospital administration, workplace operations, quality management, patient safety, labor-management relations, performance management, administrative investigations, and federal contracting within complex organizational environments.

As a federal supervisor with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Debra brings practical insight into workplace communication, organizational policy considerations, leave-related processes, and reasonable accommodation matters.

She also holds certification as a paralegal, supporting her ability to review workplace matters with strong attention to structure, documentation, and administrative detail. Her combined experience provides valuable perspective on workplace operations, organizational processes, and professional standards within federal systems.
